In a shocking incident, Agha Salman's face began to bleed during Pakistan's Asia Cup match against India on Monday, September 11. The incident occurred when Salman attempted to play paddle-sweep against Ravindra Jadeja in the 21st over of Pakistan's innings without a helmet on at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Salman took a top-edge to the face while playing the paddle-sweep. Before blood began to drip down, a cut appeared under his face as soon as the ball struck beneath his right eye.

Led by KL Rahul, the Indian players rushed over to him to see how he was doing. After that, the Pakistani physio arrived and examined him before having him undergo a concussion test.

After a brief break, Salman appeared to be okay and began to bat again while wearing a helmet.

Incidentally, Kuldeep got Agha Salman's wicket a few overs later. Salman went for another sweep, only to get trapped leg-before for a 32-ball 23. He went to challenge the decision, but it did not help him to stay a bit longer.

At the time of writing, Pakistan are crumbling on 101/5 in 25 overs, with Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan in the middle, on 10* and 2* respectively.
