In the sixth over, Pant began his onslaught on the very first ball as he slammed a six on a slightly tossed up delivery aimed at the outside off. It was almost a one-handed stunner as he got down on one knee and sent it over the deep square leg fence.

He continued with this momentum as on the very next delivery he brought out the reverse and slammed it over the backward point for another maximum. And almost as if this wasn't enough, he ended the powerplay on a bright note as he smashed a humongous six yet again. Shakib's over was too costly for Bangladesh as he was hammered for 22 runs.
