Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) unleashed a barrage of boundaries and sixes against Mumbai Indians' Romario Shepherd in the 29th match of the IPL 2024 at Wankhede Stadium. 

Winning the toss, Mumbai Indians chose to bowl, only to witness the onslaught by the CSK duo.

The 14th over turned into a nightmare for Romario Shepherd as Gaikwad and Dube mercilessly hammered him all around the park, scoring a whopping 22 runs, the highest in the innings so far. 


CSK seemed determined to capitalize on the absence of spinners in MI's bowling lineup, with Dube taking down the pacers with ease.

Shepherd's deliveries were met with sheer aggression from the CSK batsmen. Shivam Dube, in particular, showcased his prowess with successive boundaries and sixes, leaving Shepherd clueless. 

From a low full toss outside off-stump to a slower short ball, Dube punished every loose delivery, sending the ball soaring over the ropes with impeccable timing and power. While, Gaikwad complemented Dube's onslaught with well-timed shots, adding crucial runs to CSK's total.

At the time of writing, CSK at 150 for 3 in 16 overs.
