In the ongoing first ODI between India and England at the VCA stadium in Nagpur, the visitors won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision turned out to be a masterstroke as the Three Lions got off to a blistering start.
Notably, Phil Salt and Ben Duckett, who opened the innings for England, put up a 75-run stand for the opening wicket before a rare mix-up led to Salt's dismissal.
Salt Takes On Ex-KKR Teammate Harshit Rana
Nonetheless, Salt played his part and utilised the first powerplay with his power-hitting. Notably, Salt took on his ex-KKR teammate Harshit Rana, who is making his ODI debut. Talking about Rana, he got off to the worst possible start in ODIs as Salt whacked him for 26 runs in one over.
Salt took on Rana in the 6th over of the match, when he smashed the first ball for a six, followed with a four. He repeated the pattern and belted the third and fourth ball of the over for a six and four as well. After paying respect on the fifth delivery, Salt hit the best shot of the over for a six on the last ball. Here is how the over went.
