India's explosive left-handed batter Shivam Dube exhibited his power-hitting skills, smashing a quick-fire 24-ball 45 in Chennai Super Kings' ongoing IPL 2024 face-off against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Coming at number four, Dube took on the SRH bowlers right from the word go, hammering two fours and four sixes during his brief stay.

He formed a sensational 75-run stand with veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane, as the duo bailed CSK out of trouble following early dismissals of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh heaped high praise on the batting all-rounder following his impressive show against the Sunrisers.

Taking to his official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Yuvraj hailed Dube for his incredible power-hitting, urging India to pick him in their T20 World Cup squad.

Since joining the Super Kings, Dube has been in sublime form, amassing 855 runs for the franchise at a blistering strike rate. In the recently concluded home series against Afghanistan, Dube proved his mettle as an all-rounder, scoring 124 runs and scalping two wickets.

Considering his red-hot form, the 30-year-old poses a strong case for his inclusion in India's T20 World Cup squad

Regarding the game, the Sunrisers have got off to a flyer during a 166-run chase, placed at 46 for one in three overs. Abhishek Sharma emerged as their wrecker-in-chief with the bat, smashing a breathtaking 12-ball 37 before being dismissed by Deepak Chahar.
