The Chennai Super Kings pulled off one of the major heists during the retention of IPL 2025. They used the uncapped player rule to retain their legend MS Dhoni for a miserly sum of just INR 4 Cr. Besides this, there was not much of a surprise in their retention list. Even though injury has plagued him in the last couple of seasons, Chahar has been very effective for the five-time champions with the skill of picking up wickets with the new ball.
