The duo of Sunil Narine and Phil Salt have been a revelation for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Salt, who came in as a replacement player in place of Jason Roy has taken the IPL by storm.

Similarly, Narine, who was promoted at the top by Gautam Gambhir, has justified the move by playing some exquisite innings, which also includes a stunning hundred against Rajasthan Royals.

In the ongoing match against the Lucknow Super Giants, the duo took a special liking towards Naveen-ul-Haq and hammered him for 4 fours (16 runs in total) as the LSG speedster was rattled by the KKR duo.

Salt-Narine take Naveen to the cleaners


In the 3rd over of the innings, Salt started the assault with back-to-back boundaries off the first two balls. The Englishman gave a single and Narine continued the carnage as he finished the over with two fours in a row. The entire over costed 19 runs as LSG were pushed on the back-foot.

The Salt hammering was eventually contained by Naveen, who dismissed the KKR batter for a 14-ball 32, thus taking his revenge.

Despite Salt's wicket, Narine continued the good work and took the LSG bowlers to the cleaners. The match is of utmost importance for both the sides, as the race to the playoffs intensifies.
