Uganda's maiden T20 World Cup game has not gone according to their wishes. The team who defeated Zimbabwe in the qualifying stage, found it tough against a strong Afghanistan side in the ongoing clash at the Providence Stadium, Guyana.

Opting to bowl first, Uganda failed to deliver against Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, as the two Afghan batters teared apart the opposition bowlers with breath-taking batting.

Gurbaz started the onslaught with flurry of boundaries, and Zadran joined him soon as Uganda found it tough to crack at the highest level. The highlight of the partnership was Zadran's beast mode against Dinesh Nakrani.

Zadran hammers 4 fours in an over

Nakrani, bowling his second over of the match was taken to the cleaners as Zadran smashed him for four consecutive boundaries, and at one point, the thought of six fours in an over wasn't too far away.

The Afghan batter accelerated in the over and made Nakrani pay for his poor lines and lengths.

On the other hand, Gurbaz, in the blink of an eye reached his fifty in just 28 deliveries as Uganda bowlers are yet to get a breakthrough.

At the moment, Afghanistan are 90/0 after 9 overs of play.
