The ninth edition of the T20 World Cup has been off to a great start. We have witnessed some thrilling encounters and the tournament is ageing fine. In the fifth match of the tournament, Afghanistan are taking on Uganda at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

Uganda won the toss and opted to field first. The opening duo of Afghanistan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran have given a blazing start to the Afghans. Gurbaz has looked in a brilliant touch from the beginning of the match. He took the attack to the Ugandan bowlers from the very first delivery and looked to be in the fifth gear from the very beginning.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz Hits a 90m Monster

In the fifth over the match Ramjani was introduced into the attack. On the penultimate delivery of the over Gurbaz stepped down the track and went inside out to hit a monstrous six. The ball sailed over the long-off fence and travelled a distance of 90 metres. 

Ibrahim Zadran Joins The Party

While Gurbaz was looking to be aggressive from the very beginning, Zadran at the other end took some deliveries to settle down. But in the next over Zadran joined the party. He hit Nakrani for four consecutive boundaries in the first four deliveries and kept Afghanistan way ahead of the game's pace. The Gurbaz-Zadran duo is still at the crease at the time of writing this article and Afghanistan is pacing swiftly towards a huge total.
