In the ongoing third and final Test match between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, R Ashwin has hogged the headlines for his breathtaking effort in the field on day 2.
Notably, New Zealand batters Daryl Mitchell and Will Young were building an impactful fourth-wicket stand, which is when Ashwin took a stunning catch to break the crucial stand.

On the 5th ball of the 28th over, Mitchell went down the ground and hoped for a maximum, but Ashwin took a great backwards running catch. The effort will go down as one of the best catches in Ashwin's history.

New Zealand, batting first, put 235 runs on the board. Will Young, who is in the side in place of injured Kane Williamson, scored 71 (138), while, Daryl Mitchell was the pick of the batters for his 82 (129), which featured three fours and three sixes.
Ravindra Jadeja registered a five-wicket haul, while Washington Sundar took four scalps. In reply, India put 263 runs on the board and took a 28 runs lead. Shubman Gill was the star with the bat as he missed a well-deserved century by just 10 runs. Rishabh Pant too scored a fifty.
