Virat Kohli is an IPL legend and he once again proved his worth in the ongoing clash between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Stadium. In a tricky run chase of 158, RCB needed Kohli to play a long innings and the legend of the game did just that.
He reached his fifty in 43 deliveries and in the process, Kohli broke David Warner's long-standing record. Warner had 66 fifty-plus scores in IPL history, which included 62 fifties and 4 hundreds.
Meanwhile, Kohli has now overtaken Warner and has 67 fifty-plus scores to his name. In total, he has 59 fifties and 8 hundreds as he stands at the top now.

Kohli anchoring RCB's 5th win
Punjab Kings were put into bat by Rajat Patidar and after a solid start by the PBKS openers, the team lost the plot and wickets tumbled at regular intervals. The RCB spinners choked the batters in the middle overs and the aggressive flourish never happened as they were restricted to 157/6.
In reply, despite losing Phil Salt, Virat Kohli showed his class and played yet another brilliant knock as he slammed his 4th IPL fifty of the season and takes his team closer to victory.
