Several domestic stars grabbed the limelight in the IPL 2026 mini auction as they earned a hefty amount of money in the marquee event. The mini auction saw a shift in paradigm as the franchise decided to invest on Indian domestic talent, rather than going all-out on overseas players.

In the IPL mini auction, five Indian domestic stars dominated the proceedings and fetched a hefty amount and here’s how the five highest earning IPL domestic players are doing in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy.

4) Venkatesh Iyer

RCB went after Venkatesh Iyer in the IPL 2025 mega auction, but they failed to secure his services. However, the team didn’t give up and once again chased the ex-KKR man and finally acquired him for a whopping INR 7 crore.

However, it won’t be an understatement to say that the all-rounder has blown hot and cold after fetching a huge money in the mini auction. In Madhya Pradesh’s clash vs Rajasthan, the southpaw scored 34 off 42 balls and also managed to grab a wicket.

After a decent start against Rajasthan, Venkatesh failed to deliver the goods in the match vs Kerala and departed for just 8 runs. In the following match vs Tamil Nadu, Venkatesh scored just 6 runs and conceded 44 runs without taking a wicket.

3) Ravi Bishnoi

Rajasthan Royals needed a spinner and they acquired local boy, Ravi Bishnoi for a whopping INR 7.20 crore in the mini auction. Playing for Gujarat, he started the tournament by picking up 3 wickets for 40 runs vs the Services. He then followed it up by picking up 2 wickets against the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi side.

Against Haryana, he continued the momentum by picking up 2 more wickets and also accumulated 40 runs. So far in the VHT, he has scored crucial runs and has also scalped 7 wickets.

2) Auqib Dar

Delhi went all out to buy Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Dar in the IPL mini auction. The Capitals bought him for 8.40 crore as big things are expected from him in the next season. In the VHT clash against Vidarbha, Auqib Dar scored a quick-fire 40 off 26, and took a solitary wicket by giving away 44 runs.

1) Prashant Veer, Kartik Sharma

CSK bought two youngsters, Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma for the exact amount (14.20 crore), and while Kartik hasn't featured at all in the VHT, Prashant Veer has carved a name for himself.

Against Chandigarh, he gave away just 11 runs in five overs and also managed to snare a wicket. The UP all-rounder then scored a quickfire 35 off 23 against Baroda, but failed to take a wicket as he gave away 69 runs.

However, it was against Hyderabad where the youngster really shone as he scalped 3 wickets for 47 runs and it became evident why CSK paid such a hefty amount for him.
