Rajasthan Royals faced off Lucknow Super Giants in the 36th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match took place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on. April 20.

Who Won Today's Toss In RR vs LSG IPL Match

At the toss, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant won and chose to bat first.

A big update before the match was that Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson didn’t play today. In the last match against Delhi Capitals, he hurt his ribs and had to leave the field in the middle of the game. Afterward, he said he was feeling okay but wasn’t fit enough to come back and bat.

Talking about team changes – for RR, Shubham Dubey came in to replace Samson. On the other side, LSG brought in Ravi Bishnoi and Prince Yadav, while Ayush Badoni and Akash Deep were left out.

Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "We were looking to bowl as well. The surface settles a little bit under the lights. Should be better than the last time we played here.

Vaibhav (Suryavanshi) comes in, the youngster. It's been tricky for us. We have been doing small bits right but as a collective group, we haven't done the right things. We did well against Lucknow last year so hoping to do the same tonight."

Rishabh Pant (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "We are going to bat first. The wicket looks a bit drier, so we want to take advantage of it. There won't be any dew, so we are batting first.  The general thought process was to take the positives. We are lacking in small areas. We have discussed those things. We will take it forward."
