Who Will Captain Rajasthan Royals If Sanju Samson Is Absent From Playing XI vs LSG?

Rajasthan Royals have won just two matches out of the seven they have played so far, and are now back at their home ground to bring their struggling campaign back on track. RR would be up against LSG, but ahead of the encounter, there is doubt over Sanju Samson's participation because of an injury.

Suspense Over Sanju Samson's Injury Continues

The RR skipper hurt his rib while playing a shot in the last game against DC. He retired hurt in that game, and if he does not get fit for this match, RR would have to look at another captain. In such a scenario, Riyan Parag will lead Rajasthan Royals as he did in the initial three matches of the season.

In the first three RR games of IPL 2025, Sanju Samson played as a pure batter due to his finger injury. RR lost two and won one of those games, and their fans would be hoping that Samson is fit and ready against LSG. Sanju Samson has been in decent form in IPL 2025, but has not got a big score.

In the last match against DC, he was batting beautifully, and scored 31 off 19 balls, before he injured himself. If Samson does not play, Vaibhav Suryavanshi might finally get his debut game. Riyan Parag, on the other hand, has struggled, and need to get his house in order quickly, if RR want to make a strong comeback in the remainder of IPL 2025.
