After KL Rahul's unfortunate injury that ruled him out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL), all-rounder Krunal Pandya was handed over the reins for the rest of the tournament. Leading in his first full game that yielded a result, Krunal's Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lost to his brother's Gujarat Titans (GT) by a huge margin of 56 runs.

After the game, Krunal spoke about what went wrong for them and mentioned that they gave away way too many runs as anything above 225 makes the job for batters a little difficult.

Furthermore, he said that if they were chasing anything around 200, chase would have been a lot more easier for them.

Also, the left-hander made a remark that he isn't really worried after this loss as his mother is happy considering two points from this game would go to their family only.

"We gave too many runs in the first innings. When it's 227, you have to go hard every over. The surface played well. The batters said it was a good wicket to bat on. Had we restricted them to 200-210, we would have had a chance. God has been kind to us, our family is proud, Mom is happy. She said at the end of the day, two points will come home only. There is so much of love between me and Hardik, there's hardly any banter. I can tell him about that (the catch), definitely."

LSG's next challenge will be against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 13th May at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
