The first qualifier of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 will be played between Lyca Kovai Kings and Dindigul Dragons on Friday, July 7, at SCF Cricket Ground, Salem.  

Lyca Kovai Kings were brilliant throughout the league stage of the TNPL 2023, winning six out of the seven matches. They finished the league stage at the top of the points table with 12 points in their account. The likes of Shahrukh Khan, Sai Sudharsan and M Siddharth will hold the impetus for them.

On the other hand, Dindigul Dragons experienced a similar fate in the tournament, winning six out of the seven matches they played during the league stage and finishing second in the points table. Baba Indrajith, Varun Chakravarthy, and Subodh Bhati will be the players to look out for them. 

The winner of this match will secure a direct entry into the final, while the team that falls short will have a chance in qualifier 2 to vie for a spot in the final, where they will face off against the winner of the eliminator game. All in all, an exhilarating T20 game beckons at Salem on Friday.
