Tim Southee In, Lockie Ferguson Out; Here's New Zealand's Playing XI Vs India

As per emerging reports, veteran seamer Tim Southee could make his comeback to New Zealand's playing XI for the crucial World Cup clash against India. Southee, who missed the first four games due to a thumb injury, has started bowling in the nets and looks all set to participate in this high-voltage affair in Dharamsala.

Meanwhile, the BlackCaps skipper Kane Wiiliamson is still recovering from the thumb injury he sustained while batting against Bangladesh in Chennai. Therefore, he is unlikely to feature in this game, with Tom Latham set to lead the side.

If Southee gets in, express pacer Lockie Ferguson will sit out, with the Kiwis preferring Trent Boult and Matt Henry as their frontline seamers. Notably, the BlackCaps had a settled pace bowling trio before Southee was ruled out of the initial few matches.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Kiwi lineup will be unchanged, with Will Young and Devon Conway opening the batting, followed by Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman and Mitchell Santner in the batting order.
