After an eye-opening loss against South Africa, India will fight it out against Bangladesh to qualify for the next round in the 35th match of the T20 World cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval.

The Bangladesh side, led by Shakib Al Hasan, are coming off a thriller against Zimbabwe and will be keen to prove themselves against the testing Indian side. However, they are very much in contention for the playoff spot, all their hopes rest on their bowling, which could pose a threat to the opposition.

India's previous defeat did give some positives, especially from the bowling department but opened up a few cracks, too, which exposed their batting vulnerabilities against some serious pace. However, their qualification is pretty much straightforward, with two wins taking them through.

Match Details

Match: India vs Bangladesh, Match 35, Super 12 Group 2, T20 World Cup 2022
Time & Date: 2nd November 2022, Wednesday, 1:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
Streaming & Live Broadcasting: Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar

Pitch Report: Adelaide has the most balanced wicket to play, supporting both domains. Scoring runs becomes easy as the day passes with the temperature dropping. The average score is around 180 and can still be chased only if weather permits which isn't looking promising for the night.

Probable Playing XI

India: Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh.

Bangladesh: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Afif Hossain, Yasir Ali, Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud and Taskin Ahmed.

Prediction

The Indian team might have lost the previous match, but they are still very much favourites for any contest they play. Bangladesh are playing well but will find it challenging to match the firepower of their counterparts. Hence, India should walk past their opponents.
