Jos Buttler becomes 3rd player to score half-century in 100th T20I Game

England's skipper Jos Buttler smacked 73 off 47 deliveries against New Zealand and became the third player in the world to smack a half-century in his 100th T20 International match after Rohit Sharma and Ross Taylor.

His 73 is the second highest score by a player in his centenary game which is now only bettered by Rohit's 85. During his innings, he thumped two sixes and seven fours to strike at a rate of 155.

With this, he has now become the second wicket-keeper after Mushfiqur Rahim to play in 100 International T20 games, with the career that began in 2011. Buttler has amassed 2468 runs in his T20I career at an average of 33.81 while hitting at a strike rate of 143.91.

His 50 came off just 35 balls after getting dropped by Kane Williamson on the score of 8. England finished their innings on 179/6 in a must win encounter.
