T20 WC 2024 2024: India Drop Siraj To Make Way For Kuldeep; Ask Afghanistan To Bowl First

For the 3rd match of Super 8 round of T20 World Cup 2024, India won the toss and elected to bat first against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma stated that he is unaware as to how will the pitch behave, thus they decided to bat first.
India have made one change, Kuldeep Yadav comes in place of Siraj.
Afghanistan have also made one change to their playing XI and replaced Karim Janat with Hazratullah Zazai.
India are high on confidence as they have not lost a single game in this World Cup. Also, the Men in Blue had a good eight day break as their last group-stage match against Canada was washed out because of rain.
On the other hand, Afghanistan won their first three matches handsomely but suffered an embarrassing defeat against West Indies in their latest match.

Rohit Sharma - 'We have played a lot of cricket here. Just about understanding what one needs to do and then take it away. Its a different feeling playing here, early start as well usually starts during the evening. Its a good feeling, we have played a lot here. We do enjoying coming here and playing here.'
Rashid Khan - "Yeah, I think so. We would have batted first as well. But in T20 cricket, toss doesn't matter much and it's about the skills."
