India and Australia are currently crossing swords against each other in the fifth Test match of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Day 3 of the match is expected to be another thrilling Day, with Australia keen to bowl out India quickly in the first session.

On Day 2, India ensured a great performance by bowling out Australia for 181. However, India's top order faltered again as they struggled against Scott Boland's pace. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal were dismissed in quick succession, for 13 and 22 runs, respectively. Boland then removed India's batting maestro, Virat Kohli, for 6 runs.

Rishabh Pant, along with Ravindra Jadeja, tried to steady the innings. However, Pant, after scoring fifty, and Nitish Reddy, who failed to score big, became victims of Pat Cummins. As Day 2 wrapped up, India were leading by 145 runs, despite losing six wickets in their second innings.

Now, let's look ahead to the weather for Day 3.
