India women are in the middle of an ODI tri-series which involves Sri Lanka and South Africa. They won the first game against Sri Lanka comprehensively, and now against South Africa, they have pulled off an unbelievable 15-run win when they looked down and out at one point in time.

Sneh Rana Becomes 1st Indian Women To Bag Five-Fer Against South Africa Women

Sneh Rana was the chief architect of the win against South Africa, as she picked up a five-wicket haul. She bagged three wickets in a single over, the 48th, and it turned the game in India's favour. The feat made her the first Indian women to bag a five-wicket haul against South Africa women.

Earlier, Deepa Marathe had the best figures against South Africa women with four wickets in 2005. The third-best figures are of Asha Sobhana when she picked four wickets in 2024 at the Bengaluru. The fourth and fifth in the list are Jhulan Goswami and Poonam Yadav who picked four wickets in different games of the same series in 2018.

Talking about the match, Indian Women batted first and scored 276. All Indian batters got starts, and young Pratika Rawal was the highest scorer with 78 on the board. In reply, South Africa Women started well with a 140-run opening stand, and were 240-4 at one point in time. 

However, Sneh Rana displayed great character, and got the wicket of Tazmin Brits as well to script a stunning win for India.
