In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium, Suryakumar Yadav rose to the occasion and smashed a brilliant fifty. MI, batting first, put 215 runs on the board. 

SKY came to bat when MI were losing wickets at regular intervals, but the right-hand batter smashed a brilliant fifty. With the knock, he scripted several feats as SKY completed 4000 runs in IPL and also became the fastest Indian to reach this milestone in terms of balls.

The 54-run knock also helped Surya leads the run-getters list and don the orange cap. Meanwhile, SKY also surpassed Kieron Pollard to become the second-leading run-getter for Mumbai Indians in IPL history.

Notably, before the start of the match, SKY required 54 runs to go past Pollard, and he scored the exact runs against LSG. Pollard, who has played 189 matches for MI, has scored 3412 runs, while, SKY has 3413 runs to his name in 106 IPL matches for MI.

Further, talking about SKY's numbers, the MI star has also closed gap on Rohit Sharma for Mumbai Indians' leading run-getter in IPL history. Notably, the hitman is MI's top-run getter and IPL's 2nd leading run-getter with 6868 runs. 

Talking about SKY's impact in IPL 2025, then the right-hand batter is the leading run getter of the season with 427 runs in 10 matches, averaging 61. Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this article, LSG are 18/0 after 2 overs.
