Guyana Amazon Warriors claimed their 4th win of CPL 2022 on Sunday as they beat Trinbago Knight Riders by 37 runs in Guyana.

Batting first, the Amazon Warriors rode on a whirlwind knock from opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz (60 off 42),  and valuable contributions from Shakib Al Hasan (35 off 25) , skipper Shimron Hetmyer (23 off 14) and an unbeaten 7-ball 22 to post 173/6 in 20 overs.

Champion off-spinner Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers for Trinbago Knight Riders as he conceded just 23 runs in his 4 overs besides claiming two crucial wickets.

He was ably backed up by left-arm orthodox Akeal Hosein, who did not take a wicket but conceded just 22 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

Trinbago Knight Riders could only muster 130 runs

The Knight Riders got off to a decent start as the likes of Colin Munro (30 off 26) and Samit Patel (34 off 27) took the attack to the Warriors.

However, once the spin duo of Imran Tahir (2/31 in 4) and Shakib Al Hasan (3/20 in 4) came into attack, it kicked off a procession that saw Trinbago lose their last 8 wickets for just 62 runs.
