In the ongoing second ODI match between Afghanistan and Pakistan, an intense battle is unfolding. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. The Afghan opener duo, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, forged a formidable partnership, amassing 200 runs before Zadran's dismissal at 80 off 101 balls. Following the wicket, Mohammed Nabi took to the crease.

Gurbaz displayed an impressive innings, scoring 151 off 151 balls, before being caught by Mohammad Rizwan off the bowling of Shaheen Shah Afridi. Rashid Khan stepped in, and as he attempted to work the ball away, he missed, and the delivery by Shaheen Afridi struck his pads, missing the bat. The appeal for LBW was successful, and Rashid was given out, marking the departure of the Afghani superstar.

However, the young Afghanistan batter, Rahmanullah Gurbaz achieved his fifth ODI century in 23 innings, just two fewer than Babar Azam.

Afghanistan eventually managed to score 300 in their allotted 50 overs with the loss of 5 wickets and would be looking to notch up an historic win against a more fancied Pakistan side.
