Musheer's innings came at a crucial juncture when the Indian U-19 team was reeling from the early loss of their openers, Arshin Kulkarni and Adarsh Singh, who could only contribute 32 and 17 runs, respectively. His arrival at the crease marked a significant turnaround in the game's tempo. Exuding confidence and maturity beyond his years, Musheer not only steadied the ship but also accelerated the scoring, playing a massive role in India's formidable total.

The young cricketer's partnership with captain Uday Saharan, who played a commendable knock of 75 runs, was the highlight of the innings. Together, they knitted a mammoth 156-run partnership. Musheer's innings was particularly notable for his audacious shot-making as he dispatched the ball across the park with ease and precision.

Musheer’s hundred helped the Indian team to reach a formidable total of 301/7 in their 50 overs. His ton not only stabilized the innings but also provided the impetus for a competitive total, setting a challenging target for the Irish team.

While Musheer was weaving his magic in South Africa, his elder brother, Sarfaraz Khan, was making headlines in India on the same day. In a match between India A and England Lions at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Sarfaraz scored a thunderous 161 runs from 160 deliveries, an innings studded with 18 fours and 5 sixes. Courtesy of his stunning knock, India A managed to post 489 in response to England’s 152 as Stumps were called on Day 2.

It is worth mentioning that despite his staggering performances in domestic cricket, including a triple century, Sarfaraz is yet to make his debut for the Indian team, a fact that continues to baffle the cricketing community.
