Sanju Samson has continued his great form in the Kerala Cricket League with another blistering fifty. The batter has smashed 83 off just 41 balls against Alleppey Ripples, and it is now his fourth consecutive fifty-plus score in the league, which includes a century too.
Sanju Samson Continues His Fireworks For Kochi Blue Tigers
The swashbuckling right-handed batter started off on a cautious note, but got his first boundary on the seventh ball. He followed it up with a six, and then continued to blast his way against every bowler who came in his way. Samson did lose two partners in the powerplay in the run-chase of 177, but the man is in scintillating form and continued to clear boundaries effortlessly.
Overall, Sanju Samson hit nine sixes and two fours in his knock, but the first one of those was an absolute statement. It was a sheer show of swag as Sanju Samson unleashed a no-look six to get himself going in the match. The determination and passion was evident on his face while playing that shot and it showed that he is a man on a mission. Samson, later in his innings, also hit four consecutive sixes, and his knock of 83 has again put his side, Kochi Blue Tigers, in a winning position.
Samson Proves His Opening Credentials For Asia Up With Insane Consistency
However, on a personal front too, the knock is an important one for Sanju Samson. There is the Asia Cup coming up, and after the selection of Shubman Gill, there is doubt over Samson's place as an opener in the side.
The cricketer, though, is leaving no stone unturned in proving that he is still the best player for the opening spot. He started KCL 2025 with a rusty knock in the middle order, but then came back to open and blasted 121 off 51 balls.
He has now followed it up with three consecutive fifties with scores of 89, 62 and 83. The cricketer would be hoping to continue this consistency and unleash his full potential in Asia Cup 2025.
