Northern Superchargers Women (NS-W) were crowned champions of The Hundred Women 2025 after producing a clinical all-round performance to beat Southern Brave Women (SB-W) by seven wickets in a thrilling final. Chasing 116, the Superchargers reached the target comfortably in 88 balls, finishing at 119/3, to secure their maiden title in the tournament’s history.
Southern Brave Struggle To Accelerate
Sent to bat first, Southern Brave got off to a cautious start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Maia Bouchier (13 off 11) provided early intent with a six, but Kate Cross dismissed her to draw first blood. The experienced Danielle Wyatt (25 off 20) played a few crisp strokes before being bowled by Annabel Sutherland.
The middle order never really settled. Laura Wolvaardt was dismissed for a first-ball duck, while Sophie Devine (23 off 28) laboured to find fluency. Freya Kemp offered some late spark with 26 off 17, striking four boundaries, but her departure halted momentum.
Despite some late resistance from Chloe Tryon (5* off 9) and Mady Villiers (17* off 11), Southern Brave managed only 115/6 in 100 balls—a below-par total in a final. Cross (2/23) and Sutherland (2/23) were the pick of the bowlers, supported by tight spells from Ballinger and Smith.
Perrin, Litchfield Shine In Chase To Lift Trophy
The Superchargers’ reply was calm and composed. Openers Davina Perrin (17 off 16) and Alice Davidson-Richards (7 off 9) set a platform before Phoebe Litchfield lit up the final with a blistering 26 off 13, smashing four fours and a six at a strike rate of 200.
With Litchfield’s fireworks, the chase was put firmly in Superchargers’ control. Sutherland anchored the innings with an unbeaten 28 off 25, while Nicola Carey provided the finishing touches with a fluent 35 not out off 25 balls. Their unbroken 60-run partnership sealed the victory in style.
