Pakistan and Bangladesh are facing off in the first T20I of their three-match series. The highly anticipated match is currently in progress at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday, July 20. At the toss, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won and chose to bowl first.

Notably, this marks Litton Das’s 10th consecutive toss win since taking over as Bangladesh’s full-time T20I captain, maintaining a flawless 100% toss-winning record.

Meanwhile, Salman Mirza is making his debut for Pakistan in this match.

During the toss, Litton said: "We’ll bowl first. Our team has a good balance between batting and bowling, but we need to play quality cricket. We're going in with six batters, three seamers, and two spinners."

On the other hand, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha shared his thoughts:

"We would have done the same — we wanted to bowl first as well. But it doesn't really matter whether we bat or bowl first; we're ready for the challenge.

(On new faces) Really happy and excited for them. I hope they perform well and make a name for themselves. We’ve got plenty of all-rounders and a few genuine fast bowlers in the squad."

It is worth mentioning that this is the first time Pakistan have toured Bangladesh since 2021 and a few months back, Pakistan won the three-match T20I home series by 3-0.
