The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has reached the finale of the IPL 2025 after thrashing Punjab Kings in the Qualifier 1 on Thursday. Now, the caravan shifts towards the Eliminator as the Gujarat Titans will collide with Mumbai Indians at the Mullanpur Stadium. The winner of the match will face PBKS in Qualifier 2.
GT and MI's IPL 2025 journey
As for the losing team, they will crash out of the tournament. Both GT and MI have had an interesting journey in the tournament so far. At one stage, the Titans were top of the table, however, back-to-back losses resulted in them finishing third in the league.
On the other hand, MI broke their losing streak and went on a winning run to secure their passage in the Eliminator of the IPL. Both the sides are missing some of their key players and ahead of the game, let us look at what transpired at the toss.
Who won the toss today in GT Vs MI Match?
MI won the toss and surprisingly, Hardik Pandya elected to bat first. There is less grass on the pitch as compared to yesterday's game and this prompted the skipper to bat. MI have made quite a few changes to their lineup since the likes of Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton will miss the game. Jonny Bairstow will make his MI debut, alongside two other players in the team - Raj Angad Bawa and Richard Gleeson.
Interestingly, Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the match. The pacer suffered from a hamstring injury in the last match and was subsequently out of the crucial Eliminator match.
