On Saturday, Sahibzada Farhan played the best match of his career when Pakistan faced Sri Lanka in the T20 tri-series. The young batter was in outstanding form and dominated the game from the very start. 

Farhan scored an unbeaten 80 runs from just 45 balls, hitting the bowlers all over the ground. Thanks to his incredible performance, Pakistan easily chased down Sri Lanka’s total and won the match by seven wickets in only 15.3 overs.

Sri Lanka, who were already struggling in the tournament after being bowled out for just 95 runs in their first match against Zimbabwe, could only reach 128-7 after choosing to bat first. Pakistan’s reply was smooth and confident, mostly because of Farhan’s aggressive stroke play. His innings included five massive sixes and six boundaries, turning the match completely in Pakistan’s favour.

Most sixes in a T20I Innings for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka:

Farhan hit five sixes, which is the highest number of sixes by a Pakistani player in a T20 international match against Sri Lanka. He broke the previous record held by Shahid Afridi and Anwar Ali, who had hit four sixes each in 2015.

Highest individual score in T20Is for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka:

It is worth mentioning that Farhan’s unbeaten 80 is now the highest score by any Pakistan player in a T20I match against Sri Lanka. The previous best was 57 runs by Shoaib Malik in 2007.

Most Sixes hit by a batter in 2025 in shortest format:

With his latest performance, Farhan now has 102 sixes in T20 matches in 2025, making him the third-highest six-hitter of the year. Only Karanbir Singh (122) and Nicholas Pooran (103) have hit more sixes than him in the format this year.

Most 50+ knocks in 2025 in T20s:

Farhan’s innings of 80 runs off 45 balls also took him to 15 scores of 50 or more in T20s in 2025, putting him at the top of this list along with Karanbir Singh and Nicholas Pooran. Behind them are Jos Buttler (14) and Shai Hope (13).

Notably, Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan has continued to go badly. After losing the ODI series 3-0, their batting troubles have followed them into the T20 tri-series as well.
