Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer was recently snapped at an event, where he was caught being super angry at his security personnel.

Incidentally, Shreyas Iyer was coming out of the event, and as fans mobbed him for selfies, the security with Shreyas Iyer joined the mob and asked him for a selfie too, to which Iyer responded angrily.

Shreyas Iyer reminds security of his role

From a video released by media outlet Instant Bollywood, Shreyas Iyer was seen walking out of a property in a checkered shirt and casual trousers when fans recognizing him came rushing to mob him for a selfie.

While Iyer was unresponsive to the crowd, what baffled him was the response of the security personnel who was assigned to guard him.

The security personnel took out his own mobile to ask Shreyas for a selfie, and the Indian cricket star snapped at the reaction. As another fan grabbed him by his hands, Iyer angrily said to the security, "Bhai tumhara kaam hai hatana..." (Brother, your job is to clear the crowd) and then casually brushed past the guard to walk away from the venue.

The security, visibly shocked by Shreyas Iyer's comments, continued walking down with Iyer as mobs chased him for a selfie.

Shreyas Iyer out of cricket for 2-3 months

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer is out of the fray of Indian cricket with a laceration to his spleen. He suffered a massive injury during India's tour of Australia while fielding and also suffered from internal bleeding. Though he has been released from the hospital, Iyer is ruled out of cricket for nearly three months.

Iyer's absence also sees the star missing out on cricketing action from the South Africa ODIs and T20Is, and reports suggest he might miss the T20 World Cup 2026 too, which is scheduled for February 2026.
