Promising Indian all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar enjoyed stellar success with the ball as he claimed a sensational five-wicket haul in Goa's ongoing Ranji Trophy encounter against Arunachal Pradesh at the Goa Cricket Association Ground in Porvorim. Arjun, who is the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, registered magical bowling figures of five for 25 in his nine-over spell.

Arjun Tendulkar Dismantles Arunachal Pradesh With Maiden First-Class Fifer

After Arunachal Pradesh won the toss and opted to bat first, Goa's fast bowlers utilised the conditions in their favour, blowing away the hosts' batting lineup. Arjun Tendulkar emerged as the wrecker-in-chief with the ball for the visitors, derailing the home side's innings with a superb spell of seam bowling.

Opening the bowling for Goa alongside Lakshay Garg, Tendulkar cleaned up Nebam Hachang for a duck before dismissing the well-set Neelam Obi in a similar manner. Jay Bhavsar was his third victim, as the left-arm pacer trapped him plumb in front of the stumps with a beauty.

Tendulkar was on a roll with the red cherry, as he went on to dismiss Chinmay Patil and Mohit Ete in quick succession, completing his five-wicket haul in the process. This was his first-ever fifer in First-Class cricket, as the magical spell helped him elevate his stature in the Indian domestic circuit.

Arjun Tendulkar's Fifer Increases His Stock Ahead Of IPL 2025 Auction

As the IPL 2025 mega auction nears, several franchises will be looking at Arjun Tendulkar for a potential bowling all-rounder's role. The young fast bowler, who can swing the new ball up front, has represented Mumbai Indians in the past. The five-time champions have bid for him in the past, and it won't be surprising if they secure his services for one more time.
