Defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will be playing their third SA20 Final in a row as they beat Paarl Royals by eight wickets in the Qualifier 2 match of the ongoing SA20 League 2025 in Centurion.
It was a dominating performance from the men in orange which sealed yet another place in the Final for the two-time champions. Meanwhile, Paarl Royals failed to make it to the final once again after qualifying for the knockouts in three straight seasons.
Here's how Paarl Royals vs Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Qualifier 2 panned out in Centurion:

Considering the latest trend at the venue, Paarl Royals won an important toss and decided to bat first in Qualifier 2. Marco Jansen continued to be the star for the Sunrisers as he got the early breakthrough of Mitchell Owen in his very first over of the game.
In-form opener Lhuan-dre Pretorius was joined by Rubin Hermann at three and both the batters ensured that they got through the powerplay without losing any further wicket with 45 runs on the board.
The pair went on to add 99 runs for the second wicket before Craig Overton got the much needed wicket of Lhuan who got out after making 59 off 41.
Royals vs Sunrisers Highlights: Rubin Hermann top scored for the Royals, taking them to a formidable total.
After the half-way mark, the Royals found themselves on a spot of bother as they lost three quick wickets in the middle. However, Rubin, who was keeping a great hold on one end, got a great late support from Andile Phehlukwayo and the duo added 49 runs in the last four overs to take the team total past 170.
With the ball, Craig Overton was the pick of the bowlers once again for the men in orange, followed by some great bowling from the captain Aiden Markram, who finished with a figure of 1/24 in his four.
Royals vs Sunrisers Highlights: Tony de Zorzi started strongly as Sunrisers set eyes for another Final.
Chasing 176 in search of a place in their third consecutive SA20 Final, the Sunrisers got off to a decent start, managing 51 runs on the board with the loss of one wicket.
Despite losing David Bedingham early, Tony de Zorzi kept the scoreboard ticking and the Sunrisers had 80 on the board after the tenth over without losing any further wicket.
Jordan Hermann was very watchful at the other end and was playing second fiddle to de Zorzi in what was going to be a game deciding partnership.
Royals vs Sunrisers Highlights: de Zorzi-Hermann half-centuries sealed the deal for the Sunrisers.
Following the halfway mark, de Zorzi completed his half century and continued his onslaught as the southpaw sealed the game before he got dismissed for 78 off 49.
After the departure of de Zorzi, Jordan Hermann changed his gears and took control of the chase. Eventually, Aiden Markram and his men took down the target quite comfortably towards the end with eight wickets in hand.
In the bowling point of view, Royals had a very bad day in the office as the Sunrisers top-order proved to be too good for them in what was the fourth consecutive defeat for the men in Pink to end their 2025 campaign.
