Known for his Superman catches, Joburg Super Kings' (JSK) skipper Faf du Plessis grabbed a stunner in the ongoing SA20 Eliminator match against SunRisers Eastern Cape (SEC). The match, happening in Centurion, saw Imran Tahir's iconic "run in the park" celebration after the dismissal of SEC opener David Bedingham.

What About The Catch?

It all happened during the first ball of the fifth over when Tahir came in to bowl his first over, he bowled a flighted delivery to which batter David Bedingham played a lofted drive at mid-off where skipper Faf du Plessis was stationed, and he jumped to perfection on his left to grab a stunner mid-air.

Seeing the catch of the tournament, bowler Tahir did not wait long and ran across the field in jubilation, celebrating the wicket which they desperately needed. After Bedingham fell, they were reduced to two wickets for 48 runs in 4.1 overs, having previously lost their first wicket on 46 runs.

This catch was highly crucial in the context of the game, as SunRisers were cruising away at the beginning. However, this was the second wicket in the span of six deliveries, which caused some problems for the Eastern Cape.

Bedingham departed for 27 after facing 14 deliveries with three fours and a six, which was an indication that he could have caused JSK more damage had he stayed on the crease for a long time.

SunRisers Lose Fourth By 15 Overs

Coming back to the game, by the time of writing, Sunrisers Eastern Cape were 117 for 4 with Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs still at the crease after the completion of 15 overs, whereas Imran Tahir has only bowled three overs so far for 16 runs and picked up the wicket of Bedingham.
