The battle between India and Australia is heating up at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the fifth and final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. After Australia dominated the first day of the game, the visitors have made a brilliant comeback on day 2.

The standing skipper of the Indian team gave a brilliant start to the team as he picked up the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne early in the day. One of the major problems for the Indian team in this series has been the lack of support for Jasprit Bumrah. However, Mohammed Siraj has ensured that is not the case in this game.

The right-arm pacer provided a double strike for his team in the 12th over of the innings. Sam Konstas, who was looking aggressive and could have taken the game away from India with his positive intent was dismissed on the second delivery of the over.

Travis Head Was Dismissed Early By Mohammed Siraj

As Konstas walked out, one of India's biggest headaches in the recent times, Travis Head took guard. Head started in his own style by hitting a boundary of the second delivery he faced. However, in the very next delivery Siraj accounted for the aggressive southpaw. It was the fifth delivery of the over that was bowled on the good length around the off stump by Siraj.

The Indian pacer looked to angled the ball away from the batter. Head tried to defend the ball from the crease and was beaten by the late movement. He edged the ball and was taken by KL Rahul at second slip. Siraj was seen celebrating animatedly after picking up the wicket. The Indian team would have been relieved by the wicket of Head as he could have taken the match away from them, especially after they put only 185 on the board in the first innings.
