Royal Challenger's Bengaluru's (RCB) latest edition to the team, Liam Livingstone has grabbed the limelight with his top-gun performance in the on-going Abu Dhabi T10 2024 tournament. In the 18th match between Delhi Bulls and Bangla Tigers, the star all-rounder slammed an eye-catching 15-ball fifty that eventually helped his team clinch victory.

RCB's Livingstone Turns Head With Exceptional Knock

Livingstone, who was purchased for a whopping price of 8.75 crores by RCB, showcased his trademark aggressive batting style bashing bowlers left, right and centre. With his brilliant performance he also slammed the fastest fifty in the high-octane tournament at the  Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.


What happened in BGT vs DB Match?

After choosing to bowl first, the Tigers took early control of the early part of the innings with early wickets. However, the momentum shifted in the 9th over with Nikhil Chaudhary's explosive 47* off 16 balls steering the Bulls towards a competitive total. Despite David Payne and Joshua Little claiming two wickets each with the new ball, the Tigers' bowlers were less vigilant at the death as the Bulls accumulated a challenging score. 

In response, Liam Livingstone's scintillating 50* off 15 balls propelled the Tigers to victory, as the match turned in the 9th over. The Bulls were unable to shut the Tigers out in the death overs, despite Shahid and Shadab managing to get some wickets

While speaking in the post-match presentation, Livingstone, who won the Player of the Match award said: "I think it is the experience which helps. I have been around the world and a lot in these kind of situations which helps a lot. The beauty of the format is that it is too quick and it feels like it has finished even before the start. I am enjoying my time here."
