Day 2 of the Indian Premier League 2025 auctions is underway in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The previous day, the franchises spent big bucks on their desired play, resulting in numerous unexpected transfers.

The five time IPL-winning franchise, Chennai Super Kings, has looked as serene as ever as they calmly navigated their final picks for the mega-event. Their recent purchase is the 25-year-old Anshul Kamboj. An intense bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings saw his price rise from INR 30 Lakh to INR 3.4 Crore.

An emerging talent from Karnal, Haryana, Anshul Kamboj, previously played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. During the last IPL season, Anshul picked up two wickets from three games, and his performance has only been upwards since then.

Kamboj's Raging Form Catches MS Dhoni's Eyes

The right-arm medium-fast bowler is one of the best young bowlers in the country currently and in the form of his life. He recently made headlines for an incredible feat he achieved during the Ranji Trophy. The young gun made history as he pulled off a rare ten-wicket haul in Ranji. His 10/49 against Kerala made him the third player in the tournament's history to achieve this milestone.

Moreover a couple of months before this during the Duleep Trophy 2024, Kamboj left everyone stunned as he picked up a fiery eight-wicket haul in the tournament. CSK, a team known for their tactical brilliance have once again made the deal of the day by picking this rising pacer.

While, the MA Chidamabaram is known for favoUring spinners historically, the pitch has transformed to support fast bowlers and with the inclusion of Anshul Kamboj it indeed is a good decision by CSK.
