RCB beat RR by 9 wickets to seal a commanding victory at Jaipur. The Royals, despite Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 75 runs knock, posted a total of 173 runs in the first inning. While the chase looked tricky, Phil Salt unleashed his fire with a blazing 65 off 33 balls. Virat Kohli also slammed a half-century (62 off 45) to power RCB to a comfortable victory.

Here’s how RCB vs RR panned out in Jaipur:

Yashasvi Jaiswal Troubles RCB Bowlers With Blazing Fifty

RR batted first and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal finally snapped out of his bad patch to slam a half-century. Jaiswal and Sanju Samson got 45 runs off the first powerplay before Krunal Pandya deceived the RR captain to get a breakthrough.

Once Samson departed, Jaiswal joined hands with Riyan Parag to knit a 50-run partnership. Yashasvi hit 75 off 47 balls with 10 fours, 2 sixes and a 159.57 strike rate. Parag also contributed 30 off 22 balls.

RCB Restrict RR To Below Par Total Of 173

Despite a blazing start to the inning, RCB bowlers managed to contain RR in death overs. Dhruv Jurel added a quick 35 off 23 balls to power Rajasthan to a total of 173 runs. Meanwhile, for Bengaluru, Krunal once again bowled the most economical spell, conceding 29 runs in 4 overs and picking up one wicket. Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also contributed with a wicket each.

Phil Salt Crushes RR With A Fiery Knock

While the wicket of Jaipur was tricky to bat on, Phil Salt stepped out with intent. He took on Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma to the cleaners with some fine hitting. Salt reached his fifty in just 28 balls but was hungry for more. He slammed a couple of sixes before Kumar Kartikeya dismissed him with a shorter-length finger-spin delivery.

Salt, eyeing another boundary, rocked back to pull it hard, but this time, he couldn’t connect cleanly. The ball flew straight to Yashasvi Jaiswal at deep midwicket, who made no mistake, ending Salt’s 65 off 33 balls (5 fours, 6 sixes) stay on the crease.

RCB Beat RR To Seal Comfortable Win

By the time Phil Salt departed, the damage was already done. Virat Kohli, who had been playing an anchor role, switched gears after Salt’s dismissal. He went after Hasaranga to claim 14 runs off his 15th over. With that, Kohli completed his fifty in 39 balls. The chase was merely a formality as RCB chased down the total in 17.3 overs to seal a commanding 9-wicket win.
