Ravindra Jadeja punched out a fighting half-century on Day 3 of the fifth Test at The Oval to register his sixth fifty-plus score of the series. The cricketer composed 53 runs from 77 balls with five elegant boundaries as Team India charted up a competitive 374-run target for the English.

Apart from dealing with rampaging England bowlers like Josh Tongue, Gus Atkinson and Jamie Overton; Jadeja was also seemingly bothered by an English cricket fan at one stage of the day. The fan, sitting behind the bowler’s arm, wore a red t-shirt so distracting that it prompted Jadeja to urge the match officials to ask for a shirt change.

Red Alert For Ravindra Jadeja From An English Fan

With Team India fighting to conjure a match-winning target against England in their second innings, Ravindra Jadeja got distracted by a spectator’s red t-shirt. The fan in question was sitting behind the bowler’s arm, and was soon approached by ground security at the behest of the Indian all-rounder.

Seemingly confused at first, the fan was told that his outfit was distracting for the batter. He was even offered a grey England team jersey, which he gladly wore, earning a cheerful nod from Jadeja as play resumed.
