After coming to chase a revised target of 342 in 41 overs against New Zealand, Pakistan's never-say-die mission got interrupted again on Saturday (November 4) in Match 35 of the World Cup 2023 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

At this point, the Men in Green have reached to 200/1 after 25.3 overs, and they are 21 runs ahead of the DLS score.

Earlier in the day, New Zealand rode on Rachin Ravindra’s 94-ball 108 and Kane Williamson’s 79-ball 95 to pile 401/6. Then, during Pakistan’s innings, rain arrived in the middle of Fakhar Zaman’s heroics.

Zaman slammed a blazing 100 off just 63 balls, and at the time of the second interruption, has raced to 126 in just 81 balls. Babar Azam is at the non-strikers’ end, batting on 66* off 63 balls.

At the time of writing this, rain is getting heavier in Bengaluru, and therefore, there is a high probability that the target is set to be revised again. The contest began to lose overs since 5:40 PM IST, in the middle of game’s first interruption due to inclement weather.
