Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will face-off against each in the second match of Pakistan Super League 2025 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday. The first afternoon match of the season will see these two teams locking horns at this ground for the fourth time.

Having lost Eliminator 2 last season, Peshawar would be keen to break the jinx of not winning a title since 2017 despite finishing among the Top 4 without a miss. In fact, they are the only team to have qualified for the playoffs in all the previous nine PSL seasons. Taking into consideration their consistency, just one title appears less.

Fourth-ranked team during PSL 2024, Quetta had lost Eliminator 1 to eventual champions Islamabad United. With their only title coming in 2019 and having finished among the playoffs just once since then, they would be looking to start afresh under Saud Shakeel – set to become only the fourth player to lead the franchise.

PZ vs QG Head To Head Overview

Historically, Zalmi have a 13-10 lead in head-to-head rivalry against Gladiators. Speaking particularly of Rawalpindi, they lead by 2-1 across three outings over the years.
