Another nerve-wracking win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where Gujarat Titans (GT) pulled the match back against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the last few overs as they defended 135 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow to win the game by 7 runs.

Skipper Hardik Pandya was very much pleased with how they operated during the crucial stages of the game as Mohit Sharma saved 12 runs in the last six deliveries. Pandya who thumped an outstanding 66 said that he started to believe when four overs were remaining in the game.

He mentioned that he sensed a chance for his side as the atmosphere and energy changed in their camp, changing the game in a matter of time. Additionally, Pandya seemed very much satisfied with how his bowlers bowled on a slower wicket.

"When there was 30 balls in 30 I felt they were still ahead but when 27 off 4 overs came, I sniffed an opportunity and kind of had a sense that we might be in the game, let's keep going and every single bowler contributed and as the captain of Gujarat Titans I could not have asked for more,"

Furthermore, skipper praised Sharma for his player of the match performance as he bagged figures of 2 for 17 in his three overs that came at a crucial stage. Pandya praised him by saying that he doesn't need to interfere when Mohit is bowling because of his vast experience.

"The amount of cricket Mo [Mohit Sharma] has played I don't think I have to interfere, the execution, the calmness he showed made my job easy. At the same time the over that Shami bowled, showed his experience and special mention to Jayant as well, bowling like this after a long time of not playing. The credit is really theirs."

Gujarat's next battle will be against Mumbai Indians to be played on 25th April at Narendra Modi Stadium.
