The 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League is up and running and in the fourth game of the season, we have defending champions, Lahore Qalandars up against Quetta Gladiators. The Shaheen Afridi-led Lahore lost their opening game while Quetta Gladiators have started off brightly with a convincing win. 

There are plenty of quality players in both the line-up and expect a jam-packed crowd in Gaddafi Stadium with home team looking to make a strong comeback. It is a night affair and expect a cracking contest.

Lahore Qalandars

Lahore Qalandars have star-studded unit with a team filled with match-winners. Sahibzada Farhan impressed in the first game as he smashed a brilliant 57 off 36 balls. Fakhar Zaman is alongside him and with Rassie van der Dussen, Abdullah Shafique along with David Wiese to follow, Qalandars have a dangerous batting line-up. 

Also, Sikandar Raza is expected to slot in after missing the first game, which makes them a even stronger team.

They have quality in their bowling ranks too with the pace trio of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan. They did falter in the last game though and could not defend a good target of 196, which is something that they would like to rectify in this game. Expect reigning champions to make a strong comeback.

Quetta Gladiators

Quetta Gladiators were quite impressive in their opening game against Peshawar Zalmi. The opening duo of Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel set the tone with a 157-run opening stand. The middle order did not capitalise as much as they would have liked too, but with firepower of Rossouw and Sherfane Rutherford in their ranks, they would be confident coming into this game. 

Sarfaraz Ahmed provides the experience and stability, they would need in crunch situations and they would be hoping that youngster Khawaja Nafay joins the party too.

On the bowling front, Mohammad Amir and Abrar Ahmed were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets between them. They have other match-winners like Akeal Hosein, Hasnain and Mohammad Wasim Jr. too, which makes them a team to watch out for.
