India are up against England in the third Test of the five-match series at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. England are batting first, and it has been a good battle between bat and ball so far in the Test.
In such closely fought Test matches, fielding needs to be top-notch, but some Indian players have not been at their best in this series. One of them is KL Rahul. He has dropped catches in all three games, and one of them was off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja on the final day of the second Test. It was Brydon Carse's catch, and KL dropped it while standing at first slip.

At that time, KL Rahul complained that he was not ready for the catch, which probably irritated Ravindra Jadeja. So, on Day 1 of the third Test, Jadeja decided to take his sweet revenge. In the 80th over, when the Indian spinner was loading up to bowl against Joe Root, he stopped and told KL Rahul to keep his focus. Rahul was not ready at first slip again, and so Jadeja added that KL should better get into the position, otherwise the excuse of not being ready will come again.

KL Rahul Gives Jamie Smith Lifeline On Day 2
KL Rahul, in reply, had no words and just said thanks to Ravindra Jadeja. Luckily, KL Rahul did not miss any catches on Day 1, but on the second day, he dropped Jamie Smith at second slip off the bowling of Mohammed Siraj.
Thus, Ravindra Jadeja's warning on Day 1 was not without any substance, and KL's catching at slips has been poor in this series. Jamie Smith was batting on just 5 at that point in time, and then went onto build a solid stand with Brydon Carse, helping England get close to 400.
