Australian captain Pat Cummins bagged six South African wickets across Days 1 and 2 of the WTC 2025 final at Lord’s in London. The legendary Australian speedster dismissed the likes of Wiaan Mulder, Proteas captain Temba Bavuma before polishing off the tail to claim exceptional figures of 6-28 from just 18.1 overs.
Cummins’ spell marked the 14th five-wicket haul of his Test career, and also one of his career-best figures in the format. Notably, the 32-year-old also scaled a huge Test record in the process, soaring past legendary Indian spinner and late cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi.
