The biggest, nay the most brutal rivalry will take centre stage when India takes on Australia at the highly-anticipated Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 from Friday, 22 November onwards.
India and Australia's rivalry goes back a long time, but this long-standing competition gradually levelled in the early 2000s. Now, fast-forwarding to 24 years and eight trophies later, the Indian team is more than ready to take on another challenge and win their fifth consecutive title.
The Indian side, led by Rohit Sharma, gears up to face off against Pat Cummins' Australia, which is aiming to settle the score. In a newly released promo by Star Sports for the India and Australia Test series, Mitchell Starc and Usman Khwaja are heard saying that Indian batters are tough and their bowlers are tougher.
Marnus Labuschagne then appears on the screen and says that it's time to settle the score. The video also includes glimpses and visuals of Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohd Shami.

Australia Suffer Setback As Green Out
Cameron Green, one of the talented Australian all-rounders, has recently had to undergo successful surgery in New Zealand after suffering his fifth stress fracture - the one incurred during the white-ball series against England.
The youngster opted for the surgery to end this recurring injury, which is likely to keep him off the field for at least six months. In other words, he will miss out on the highly anticipated five-match Test series against India.
Being one of the key players for Australia across all the formats, his absence will be sorely felt. He was anticipated to take on a vital role in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he was set to feature as a full-time batter in the middle order. That would have enabled Steve Smith to push up the order and open with one more player, making the team look well-rounded. Unfortunately, with Green sidelined, Australia will need to rethink their strategy and lineup for the series against India.
