Jamieson Lands Pakistan Early Blows As Half The Side Walk Back For 57
It was a forgettable day for the Pakistan side at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, where they were put in to bat by the home side, New Zealand. The Black Caps, led by Michael Bracewell, were magnificent with the ball as they punched the Pakistan openers one after the other. Mohammad Haris was the first one to depart in the first over, as he was caught by keeper Mitchell Hay off Kyle Jamieson with a delivery that was a bit too short as he was out for a duck.
Next up, it was Hasan Nawaz's turn to walk back to the pavilion on the second delivery of the second over, as Jacob Duffy enforced the second breakthrough, reducing them to two down without a single run on the board.
Soon following the trend was Irfan Khan, who made his way out of the center, only to become the second wicket for Jamieson, as he was dismissed on the second delivery of the third over. He went back for just one, leaving Pakistan in the grave with just one run on the board as three wickets were down in no time.
Vice-captain Shadab Khan walked onto the crease but couldn't do anything significant, as Jamieson bagged his third of the day, sending Shadab back in the hut for three with the Green team crawling with 11/4 on the board and no scope for improvement.
Dominating Duffy Helps Kiwis Knock Over Visitors For Just 91
Following Salman, Khushdil who was batting brilliantly on 32 with three sixes already, was shown the exit door by Duffy, who came at his best from that very point. Jahandad Khan, was the third highest scorer of the side with 17 off 17, while the rest of the side could not even get into the double figures.
Jacob Duffy proved to be the star of this match with a fiery spell of 4 for 14 in his 3.4 overs, while Jamieson was unbelievably outstanding with figures of 3/8 in his four while Ish Sodhi picked two scalps to his name to knock over Pakistan for a paltry 91 in 18.4 overs in the first T20I of this series.
Seifert Launches Early Assault As Black Caps Race To 50 Inside Powerplay
Chasing 92 on the board, Tim Seifert went all aggressive, right from the start, finding boundaries one after the other. He was in a proper driving mode giving no chance to the Pakistani bowlers.
Thanks to Seifert's effort, New Zealand raced to 50 in just 5.2 overs, where Seifert was then dismissed on the penultimate delivery of the powerplay for this well-made 44 from 29 deliveries with seven fours and one six to his name, leaving New Zealand with just one down and 53 already on the board.

Allen played a 29*-run knock off 17 deliveries, while Robinson with six, played a fine hand of 18*. In the end, the Black Caps won the game comfortably with nine wickets and 9.5 overs to spare.
