India's swashbuckling batter Ishan Kishan showcased sublime form with a blazing knock in Sunrisers Hyderabad's intra-squad match. Opening the batting with Abhishek Sharma, Ishan hammered 64 runs off just 23 deliveries, encouraging the Sunrisers with his scintillating stroke play. 

Ishan Shines In SRH's Intra-Squad Match

The Sunrisers had a memorable season last year, finishing as the runners-up in the IPL 2024. They qualified for the final of the competition where they lost to eventual champions Kolkata Knight Riders in a one-sided affair. 

In order to boost their team, the Sunrisers released several non-performing players while roping impactful players like Ishan Kishan into their IPL 2025 squad. 

The franchise conducted an intra-squad match, letting their players have ample game time ahead of the IPL 2025. The players were divided into two teams- SRH A and SRH B, as the former batted first in the match.

Ishan stepped up to the occasion, playing a blistering knock for SRH-A, scoring 64 runs in 23 deliveries. While his glorious boundaries spoke volumes for his red-hot current form, his towering sixes showcased his remarkable power-hitting abilities in the shortest format. 

After causing sheer carnage with the bat, Ishan finally departed for 64 runs, as off-spinner Kamindu Mendis got rid of him in the eighth over. 

Ishan Kishan's Importance For SRH In IPL 2025

Ishan Kishan joined SRH, as the 2016-edition winners purchased him at a whopping amount of INR 11.25 Crores in the mega auction last year. With Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma opening the batting, Ishan will likely play at 3 and play a significant role for SRH in the tournament.
