Virat Kohli has been the best batter of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and currently holds the Orange Cap in the tournament. He has 6 fifties to his name in the league and interestingly all of them came in winning causes as the Royal Challengers sit at top of the table.

In the match against Delhi Capitals on Sunday, Kohli anchored a tricky chase and scored a fifty off 45 deliveries. He, alongside Krunal Pandya steered RCB to a famous win as the team now has 7 wins out of 10. While some applauded Kohli's gritty fifty under pressure, famous commentator, Harsha Bhogle took a subtle dig at his strike rate and hence, Kohli fans are going after him now.

What did Harsha Bhogle say regarding Kohli?

"Kohli's post match interview yesterday was very insightful. Tells you why he is the master of the 160-180 chase. His thinking is precise and his focus is unwavering. I would be fascinated to see, and hear from him, how his approach changes in a 200-210 chase."

While he did praise Virat Kohli's work ethics and how he chased down the total with ease, the commentator also took a dig at him by stating that Kohli might face troubles if the target is anywhere in the region of 200-220.

This tweet didn't go well with Kohli fans as they took a dig at Bhogle and criticised the commentator for criticising Kohli in a subtle way.

Kohli's take on his strike rate in IPL

"I make sure to get singles and doubles don't stop. You keep getting the boundary here and there.

People are forgetting the importance of stitching a partnership in T20s. I think this year, you have seen, you can't go in and tee off from ball one. You need to have professionalism from ball one. You need to read the situation and get into a position where you can dominate the bowlers. For that, you need to stitch a partnership. That is pretty much my method. "
